Getting Grounded
🙀 Sometimes you need a talking groundhog in your backyard to take a breath and look at your shadow.
For a lot of us, our job is our anchor. When we lose it, it can be a blow. But Lisa’s worked in advertising long enough to know that vocational ups and downs are part of the business. And since she’s been through it before, she’s learned that a layoff can be a time to freak out or find new energy.
So she’s decided to open up more space in her life for the things that make her happiest — her creative passion projects, exercising (stay tuned for some comics about the trials and tribulations of a middle-aged gym rat), and travel (spoiler, we’re heading to the San Miguel Writers Conference next week!).
Come share your story…
CREATIVE FLOW WORKSHOP: Shibori as Art & Articulation on Saturday, February 7, 10:30 AM–4:30 PM, held in an exclusive, salon‑like atelier in Brooklyn. Spend the day crafting an original, wearable textile and discovering the words that tell its story. Space is limited, and it’s almost sold out!
